A Jeep for Africa sent with love
During July Gareth and Sandra had the privilege of sharing life with the family of God in Exminster, what an amazing time it proved to be! Arriving in Exminster with one car on Saturday they left on Sunday in utter amazement with two vehicles, the one they arrived in and a 9 seater long-wheel base Land Rover that had been given for the work in Africa.
Let me unpack this story a little and go back in time to the earlier part of this year in Africa.
As we travelled and found our connections growing across the continent of Africa we discovered that to fully function and reach all areas and people, we would need a four-wheel drive vehicle, many places can only be reached by travelling on unmade roads. This became a quiet prayer in our hearts, talking to the Lord about this, and wondering where this provision might come from.
Months later and back in the UK, nothing could be further from our minds than the need for this vehicle, however, God had heard our quiet prayer and was about to provide, wonderful.
Following our sharing with the family in Exminster we were approached by a couple wanting to give their vehicle, a Land Rover for the work of God in Africa. What an amazing gift to Africa….. we were taken aback by the provision of God from what had seemed to us to be a simple thought in conversation with the Lord, and by the utter generosity of this couple giving such an amazing gift for the work of the Kingdom.
Now all we have to do is arrange for the Land Rover to be transported to Africa, and then see it being used to reach the people of Africa. We plan to run outreach missions using this vehicle, so if you would care to join us on an adventure please let us know.
What can we say, but thank you Lord for your people, for hearts moved to give to the Kingdom, and for lives transformed on the continent of Africa.
