This second album by Californian Phil Wickham resets the bar on culturally relevant Christian music. The combination of a stunning voice, powerful songwriting and superb production makes these songs as radio friendly as any other brit-pop sound out there.
Wickham has an ability to convey deep desire for God and his ways without simply stuffing as many Christian clichés into a song as possible and instead by using ‘normal’ all-be-it cleverly poetic language. Finally a Christian artist with genuine talent and an album you wont have to turn off in embarrassment when a work colleague asks for a lift home!
